The Story of
Quilla Nina
Quilla Nina was born in Buenos Aires in October 1989, to an Argentine mother and a Peruvian father. She earned a degree in Visual Arts from UMSA in 2013. She works primarily with acrylic and oil painting, and is currently exploring digital media. Through bold colors, symbols, and elements of the Andean worldview, her work addresses themes such as memory, struggle, cultural identity, and the connection between the earthly and the mystical. Her characters coexist in dreamlike scenes where ancestral iconographies are reimagined through a contemporary aesthetic.
