The Story of
Emmanuel Figueroa
Figueroa is an Illustrator and Filmmaker formed in Cinema and Television School of Córdoba´s National University.
In 2011 he premiered his first feature film, “Albor”, considered a “revelation” for New Argentinian films.
He is currently working in his second feature film “Tras el barco de Fitzcarraldo”, filmed at the peruvian Amazon forest.
As an illustrator he worked in music as a front cover designer and he has designed alternative posters for Star Wars, Dune and The Holy Mountain of Alejandro Jodorowsky. White Duck Editions (UK) with some clients as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Guardian, among others, printed these posters.
In 2017 was chosen by China Youth Press to work for the book “The Dark Book: Into the Misterious Mind of the Artists”, distributed in Europe by Cypi Press.
He was recognized as a prominent artist by the web portal “Antidepresivo” and “Illustration Served”. The last web selected his works four times as one of the “most important artists” on Behance.
In his filmography and illustrations there is a noticeable conceptual line with some tints of surrealism, religious syncretism, native cultures and fantastic worlds.
